My Inspiration
My main interest and inspiration within the fashion industry is primarily focused within the denim and "true vintage" community. True vintage is loosely defined as clothing that is at least 50 years or older. The rarity and uniqueness of the designs are what has drawn my attention within the last few years. Within my own personal life I love collecting these pieces. As I look at the future, I would love to work with a company that utilizes true vintage as one of their sources of inspiration.

Merchandising Internship at PISTOLA
My Experience as An Intern
At PISTOLA I worked as a Merchandising Intern in conjunction with the Sales and Design team. I learned the importance of trend forecasting, and also broadened my knowledge about marketing within the industry.
During my time I learned new skills:
-
Utilizing InDesign to create linesheets and workbooks
-
Checking and updating Joor and NuORDER daily
-
Tracking inventory on Excel
-
Preparing inventory for showrooms and marketplaces
I also had the opportunity to assist on marketing photoshoots for the PISTOLA website. I worked alongside the stylist and photographers. It was an incredible experience having hands-on opportunities to grow my knowledge about the fashion industry.

Attending Vintage Markets
To network with other individuals of the vintage and fashion community, I regularly attend a variety of vintage markets. Through these markets I have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing individuals who share the same interests and passions as me. I also use these markets as another way to stay up to date with market trends.
